SHANE A. MAIDY

Shane is a seasoned executive with 15+ years of digital sales, marketing and business development experience in the media, entertainment, mobile, technology and consumer products arenas. Over the years, he noticed a void in the market with start-up and growth phase organizations needing firsthand experience and knowledge to bring their offering to market.

He was most recently the Senior Vice President at MediaLink LLC, a strategic advisory firm assisting clients with growth strategy, go-to-market strategy, monetization strategy, digital business strategy and business acceleration. He has worked with clients ranging from A+E Networks, Delta Air Lines, Leaf Group, Live Nation, Machinima, Maker Studios, Sharethrough, Skype and Group Nine.  Previously, Shane served as the Director of Business Development at Viacom Media Networks, a media company comprised of MTV, Comedy Central, CMT, VH1, Spike TV, and TV Land.  Shane has been responsible for bringing in over $75M in new business working with companies such as Amazon, Dial Corp., HP, HTC, Russian Standard Vodka and Sony Electronics among others. Prior to joining Viacom Media Networks, Maidy was the SVP of Marketing, Licensing & Products at New Motion Inc. (now Atrinsic); a mobile provider of digital entertainment products and services on a direct-to-consumer basis.  He led the company’s efforts across content acquisition, product development and corporate marketing communications.  Shane was the Vice President of National Sales for Universal Music and Video Distribution (UMVD), a division of Universal Music Group.  Direct accounts included Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, Kmart, Amazon and Costco where he managed over $1.2 billion in sales.  Prior to joining UMVD, Maidy worked at Brand Sense Marketing, a sister company to NASCAR, where he directed the category sales management team. He has also held executive positions with Insight Marketing, Precision Entertainment Inc., J. Walter Thompson, Marvel Entertainment Group, and OSP Publishing, Inc.

Shane earned his M.B.A. from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business Management and a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California.
